Featured Architect: Ricardo Bofill

When we came across this incredible feature, all we could have say “Maravilosso”! Ricardo Bofill, a renown architect from Spain, fell in love with a decaying World War I-era cement factory that was closed down when Bofill saw it in 1973. That’s when La fábrica was born and an architect and his team spent 45 years turning it into a spectacular and unique home, lacing the exterior with lush greenery, and furnishing the interior as a modern living and work space.
La fábrica is still a work in progress but even now the property is a fine example of the beautiful transformations that result from creative thinking.
